I haven’t sat down to write anything too extensive lately, so to span the gap while I am putting together an article, here are some questions to ask yourself.

  1. What is music?
  2. How does it relate to life?
  3. Why do you like it?
  4. Why do others like it?
  5. Is it important?
  6. If you can play a song slow, why not play it fast?
  7. If you can play a song fast, why not try it slow?
  8. If you can play a song soft why not play it loud?
  9. If you can play a song loud, why not play it soft?
  10. Does anyone know for sure what you are going to play next?
  11. Do you know what you are going to play next?
  12. Do you like your tone?
  13. Do you have your own style?
  14. Have you listened to someone else lately?
  15. Have you heard the way your ’ukulele sounds when someone else is playing it?
  16. Are you playing the same basic thing over and over?
  17. How could you break out of the box?
  18. Would a better ’ukulele make you sound better?
  19. Would a worse ’ukulele make you sound worse?
  20. Do you sound the same when you play someone else’s ‘ukulele?
  21. What would you do if you couldn’t play anymore?
  22. Have you failed at playing something lately?
