Love and follow your uke teaching: thanks so much. Hope to meet you in June at George’s Maui workshop.

As thanks, I extend to you that this video is perfectly related to the song for this Canadian. I will admit to being a huge James Hill fan so that may also be influencing my intrepretation of this song and video. To me, the song has an Acadian bent (jig or a reel???, still learning). But it makes perfect sense for an Acadian man to grieve a lost love by returning to the ‘bush’, singing, long walks, etc. etc. And if the maple happens to be running, drowning sorrows in maple syrup: why not? But I could be wrong????

Just get the album! I’ve had it on high rep in my car for a couple of weeks and it started great and gets better and better. I put it up there with Paul Kelly and Uncle Bill’s “Smoke”.
Both Kelly and Hill are awesome song writers and arrangers. Wish James would tour Australia…..Sometime soon?
