I thought I would remind everyone that I am always taking requests for ‘ukulele lessons, tabs, and info. If there is something that you would like to know or think I should write about please let me know. Whatever pops into my head and onto my list of “stuff to write for the site” is what gets written about. The only way to change that is to tell me what you want to read about. Hi, I’ve just spent the longest time searching around the internets looking for the ukulele tabs for Rimsky Korsakov’s – Flight of the Bumblebee… and i know they existed at one time, somewhere, but since i can’t find them… would you feel inclined to re tab them?
It would mean a whole lot to me!

Hey hippie guy! Im really looking forward to seeing the julia nunes ‘love’ tab for the uke. I really want to be able to play that song, but i cannot figure it out because her uke is tuned differently (or so i think). are you still working on it? is it posted (i cant find it anywhere)? Thanks in advance for the work you’re doing.
Yes, her ‘ukulele is tuned differently. I haven’t gotten around to working on a tab, I’ll do it as soon as I can!

I’d like to see some MELODIC SCALES worked out for the uke in which, as you probably know, the consecutive notes of the scale are played on DIFFERENT STRINGS prefferably open ones.
This was a technique originally developed for three finger banjo by Bill Keith and is quite interesting (listen to his famous “Devil’s Dream” for example). It’s approximated by the late John King for uke with his “campanella” style.

I was wondering if you every did any Steely Dan songs on the ukulele? I’m sure if would challenging but I always loved “Doctor Wu” from the Katy Lied album. If you can’t do it I understand they have like a full band and what not so its prolly hard to transpose it only for uke. I thought I’d ask. Thanks hippie

I haven’t done any Steely Dan. Their music is really bizarre and would take some major figuring out. I’d look on some of the guitar tab sites for the chords. Ultimate-guitar.com is a good one.
