Everybody loves Bob Marley. So they say. I’ve yet to meet a hater. His songs had a powerful message and a groove no one else could touch. To this day he stands alone atop the reggae genre having defined the sound and culture.
For years, one of the first songs I’ve taught to students is One Love/People Get Ready. It’s beautiful, simple if you transpose it, and everyone knows it. The reggae strum and chord changes encourage tight rhythm playing and the picking is simple enough to grasp for a beginner.
This tab is in the key of C, but the original recording is in Bb so if you want to play along using the tab you need to tune your ‘ukulele down a whole step to FBbDG.
