Put a Little Love by Natural Vibrations

January 25, 2012

All natural vibrationsNow this is one of my favorite reggae/Jawaiian songs. It has a bridge! (But that’s not the only reason I like it.) Dial up a little bit of envelope filter and go to town.

The picking is pretty straightforward with only a few hammer-ons to watch for. Playing the second two lines of tab with your index finger plectrum-style or alternating thumb/index is going to be easiest for the fast open notes.

To play the intro just like the record, hit two punches on the first three chords in the progression and then one each for the last two. So it will be like:

C// G// Am// F/ G/

The riffs after each chord go like this:

For C: -3-5-3- on the E string
For G: -2-4-2- on the C string
For Am: -5\- on the G string (low G)
