First lesson makes sense. I’ll come back and review later today so that I don’t get ahead of myself. Your clear precise delivery of instruction and knowledge of the material makes your lessons easy to follow.

This is such a great concept. Drilling down on one interval and showing the musical possibilities. I love it. I have watched three or four lessons ahead and actually started working on this. I didn’t think I had time for a course right now but I love your stuff and I wanted to get it into my library. I guess it’s the perfect level for me because I get what you’re saying but still have to practice.
The practice isn’t that hard (yet?) and the sound is satisfying. From what I’ve seen this concept is not overwhelming, but it’s lovely.
The videos are short (I have a short attention span) but filled with information. They are well done.
I just wanted to say that I like this kind of focused instruction and I hope to see more. Thank you.

Hi Brad! I have been working on slack key pieces (taropatch tuning) with my ukulele and hope that this course will compliment the Hawaiian slack key style. Also, I look forward to noting how these 6th harmonies can be adapted to the slack key tuning.

Aloha Sebastian, These 6ths are a huge part of the slack key sound. You should find lots of ideas and tips in the final module. Don’t know what your definition of “slack key” uke is, but I don’t really teach adding the alternating “bass” since that’s sort of a whole ‘nother course. But if you can provide your own pedal notes to go with the 6ths, you’ll get all kinds of inspiration for your tunes!

Aloha Brad. This will probably be WAY over my head as I am more of an mid-level beginner for a while. One thing I’ve learned is that I never know where and from what level an ‘ah-ha’ moment can come from.

Keep me posted. I hope there’s some stuff that you can take advantage of at your level. It will grow with you!

Very much looking forward to playing with this course, Brad. As Sebastian said below, I’m very much interested in slack key and just starting down that road. Will be nice to add this to it as I slowly progress.
Thanks for putting this course together!!

Hi, I’m leaving this message here (at the beginning) in case there’s anyone out there like me who thought after a couple of lessons that maybe I’d joined the wrong course. I’ve now looked through the whole course (without doing all the practice – I’m now in the process of spending time on each element of the course) and I’d like to make a few points. One, Brad is an excellent communicator. Two, the course content and material are top quality. Three, it all gets clearer the further you get into the course!
I class myself as an intermediate player but 6th Sense is completely new to me. I’m looking forward to being able to incorporate what I learn here into my playing. Thanks, Brad, and thanks for reading! Phil
