Soloing is closely tied to ear training. Usually, when improvising, you’ll imagine something in your mind’s ear and then attempt to play it. The more you hone your ear, the easier it will be to execute your improv phrases on the fly.
For this reason, I have decided to tie these two topics together in Seasons of Soloing. By exploring each song from both angles, you’ll get the most out of your efforts and be able to improve at a faster pace.
